2026 Buena Football Information
Hello New Buena Football Families!
Welcome to Buena Football! I am excited to get this first message of the Fall 2026 season to you. We are very grateful to have had successes in our program due in no small part to the great families who have been in our program and now that list includes YOU! Welcome to the Buena Football Family!
Feel free to spread this info to anybody else you know who is interested in joining our program. If you got this from a friend (and not our program), please also fill out this form so that we have your contact info (you only need to complete it once).
Below is important information and dates regarding our fast approaching season. Please mark your calendars! Going forward, you’ll receive regular correspondence from me to keep you updated and informed. Please make sure ryan.bolland@venturausd.org is whitelisted in your email! As soon as I am able, I will add you to our group in ParentSquare (VUSD’s official method of communication) and you will receive weekly news from us!

I will be at Buena’s Incoming Freshmen Athletic Info Night on Tuesday, May 5 as well and will take DAWGS Camp and Spirit Pack Payments then, but our official meeting is Monday, May 11
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE - must be complete prior to any participation
Go to HomeCampus.com and register for 2026-2027 school year and FOOTBALL (instructions here)
Get a physical from a doctor (physical form in Home Campus or here); VUSD does not accept physicals from chiropractors
VUSD will be hosting a FREE physical day on May 27 from 4-7pm at Ventura HS
Upload physical form to HomeCampus or turn it in to athletic secretary Noemi Cruz (noemi.cruz@venturausd.org)

DAWGS FROSH PERFORMANCE CAMP
6:30 - 7:30 pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from May 12 - May 27 (9 sessions)
Give your incoming freshmen a head start on athletic performance!
Instruction provided by Buena HS Coaches
Includes Speed Training, Lifting Technique, Weight Room Safety, and Field Drills
$10 Reservation fee to preserve your spot (payable at Athletic Info Night May 6 or Parent Meeting May 11)

NO WEIGHTS/PRACTICE
Please take family vacations during this time!
Summer Football: June 8 - July 2 & July 20 - July 23
WEIGHTS:
Monday - Thursday, 7:00 - 8:15 am OR 8:30 - 9:45 am (attend 1 session)
T-shirt/shorts/close toed shoes/water; meet on blacktop by basketball courts
SUMMER PRACTICES:
Monday - Thursday, 4:30 - 6:30 pm
T-shirt/shorts/cleats (cleats preferred)
Frosh on Victoria Field; JV/Varsity at Balboa Middle School (Stadium Turf is being replaced all summer)
FALL PRACTICE - BEGINS JULY 27
Begins Monday, July 27 - Wednesday, July 29: helmets/shorts/shirts/cleats
Thursday, July 30 - Friday, July 31: add shoulder pads
Saturday, August 1: First day in full pads
Specific times TBA (Afternoons)
Equipment checkout for Frosh Begins Wednesday, July 22 (Helmets)
Must be cleared and have signed expectations agreement for practice/equipment
GOLF TOURNAMENT, VERTICAL RAISE CAMPAIGN, AND ADVERTISING
The 6th Annual Buena Football Golf Tournament is on June 12 at Sterling Hills Golf Club. Come join us! Registration is open and you can Register HERE!
Our first fundraiser will launch shortly after our parent meeting for JV/Varsity and in July for Frosh with our Vertical Raise Campaign in which we ask our athletes to reach out via email and text to 20 friends and family to seek donations of any amount. Please be thinking of who your athlete can contact!
